3 Best Australian Restaurants in Warrnambool VIC

Stayed in a room here and went to dinner in the restaurant. The restaurant can stand on its own with great food and staff that are friendly and helpful. We had Lamb backstrap and a Ribeye. Lamb backstrap was cooked perfectly with lots of flavour. Large piece of lamb that is sure to fill anyone! The Ribeye (450g) was huge and was cooked exactly the way requested. Lovely char flavour with great crust, tender quality meat! The spuds that came with steak were sensational! Next time we are in Warrnambool we will not hesitate in going here for dinner again!

This is the second time we have stayed at this beautiful accommodation and the hospitality exceeds many 5* hotels. Your initial contact with Raj and not to mention the kind warm service from all who work at the Clovelly Restaurant. From Breakfast to Dinner we couldn’t be more impressed. Everything was perfect. The sticky date pudding - WOW.

Service is exceptional. Made to feel like we were the only ones there. Food was cooked to perfection. Fish was so succulent. Steak was perfect. We saved space for dessert, which was devine. Highly recommend.

This restaurant will not disappoint, especially those looking for more of a fine dining experience. I have been to Salt on numerous occasions and I must say it continues to impress me every time. The scallops, Barramundi, Pork belly and a ripper scotch fillet steak are all worth a crack. After your main be sure to try one of their desserts as they are all delicious. This restaurant is great for couples, small groups and functions. Matt and his team are doing a fantastic job.

From the moment we walked in, the staff were so inviting and friendly. We didn't have a booking but were accommodated for. We tried the oysters and scallops. We also did the share scotch fillet and that did not disappointment. Cooked to absolute perfection. Everything from drinks to food were on point. We are from Melbourne and Salt Restaurant beats some of the top restaurants we have.

My partner and I visited on Sunday night for dinner, the staff were amazing and delightful to talk to, and the atmosphere was so inviting and relaxed. The food was exceptional and freshly made. Highly recommend Salt for dinner and events.

Stopped in for lunch after the cold shoulder from my usual stop. Best decision i ever made. Had the garlic bread first then the scollops with burnt butter sauce and cauliflower puree. And omg melt in ur mouth scollops. Wonderful customer service, so polite and considerate of my needs. I can’t wait to drop in to try other stuff on the menu. Thanks for an awesome experience. Was not a huge fan of the dessert I ordered but personal taste. Lovely warm day out on the deck. So relaxing.

Had an amazing meal on Wednesday night, all the good was absolutely delicious and cannot fault it. Great selection on entrees and mains, using interesting ingredients, a lot of them Aussie inspired. Combinations of flavours and textures very lovely. Our server Cassidy was also great, very knowledge and helpful while also being very chill :) thanks for a memorable meal, lively views or the window to the river even on a rainy night.

It was a lovely place on the river for lunch. The food was fantastic and different. We had cheesy garlic bread, crocodile pie, and kangaroo shepherds pie. There's a small outdoor space which will be lovely to use when it's warmer. They have a ramp for those who have mobility issues (like me), so we don't have to go down a steep staircase. The staff are very friendly and professional.
