If you're ever after a great coffee, bagel or Toastie whilst in Devonport, make sure you stop by Fundamental Espresso ! The coffee is some of the best you will have in Tassie, and the lovingly made Bagels and Toasties are simply out of this world. I seriously mean it, because when I first had their Truffle Mushroom Toastie, it felt like the heavens opened up and Angels sang ! It is setup to be takeaway only, but take this as a great opportunity to take your coffee and meal to enjoy out at the nearby esplanade, and maybe watch the Spirit sail in or out from the port. Vegetarian options: Toasties are simply out of this world. I seriously mean it, because when I first had their Truffle Mushroom Toastie, it felt like the heavens opened up and Angels sang !

Breakfast bagel with halloumi and a strong flat white were exactly what I needed after arriving on the Spirit of Tasmania. Staff were so friendly and knew all the names and orders of the steady stream of locals. Wish I was one of them!

Just what a coffeshop needs to be in my book: experts in coffee making. No thrills with side on items, just good coffee and biscuits. Being a big coffee snob I found the coffees very well made and the blend was lovely. I'll be back.
