Dr. Jason Papacostas is an accomplished neurosurgeon who earned his medical degree from the University of Queensland, Australia, in 2001. He achieved fellowship status at the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2013. Dr. Jason specializes in minimally invasive skull base surgery, awake cranial neurosurgery, and epilepsy surgery. With a significant practice in minimally invasive spine surgery, he is an integral member of the RBWH spine team. Dr. Jason is a pioneer of Stereo EEG surgery for epilepsy patients in Queensland and is a frequent presenter on both national and international platforms. Serving as a visiting neurosurgeon at Mater Private Hospital Brisbane within the Mater Centre for Neuroscience, he also works as a consultant neurosurgeon at Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital. Dr. Jason takes pride in being a founding member of the Royal Brisbane Hospital pituitary multi-disciplinary clinic. Fluent in both English and Greek, he is bilingual.
