Dr. Lih-Ming Wong first joined as a medical student on rotation from St. Vincent’s Hospital in 1999. Since then, he has worked at GVH in various capacities, including the medical unit, emergency department, and as a general surgical registrar. After completing his urology training in Melbourne, Dr. Wong spent several years overseas at Addenbrookes Hospital Cambridge and Princess Margaret Hospital, Toronto, where he completed his Society of Urological Oncology Fellowship. During this time, he gained experience in robotic-assisted surgery and complex urological oncology surgery, including retroperitoneal lymph node dissection, large kidney cancers, radical cystectomy, and prostatectomy. In 2013, Dr. Wong began working as a urologist in Shepparton. Additionally, he has an honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer position with the University of Melbourne. Dr. Wong has completed postgraduate degrees in Masters of Surgery and Doctor of Medical Science. His research interests include active surveillance for prostate cancer and imaging techniques for prostate cancer.
