Such an incredibly welcoming and warm community of people!. A church that doesn't take you very long at all to feel a sense of belonging and to feel like you are part of a family.
Came initially via neighbour's invitation. Church was welcoming and felt at home.

St Michael's Anglican Cathedral is one of Wollongong's oldest historic churches. Designed by Australia's eminent ecclesiastical architect, Edmund Blacket, it is revered in history. Over time, the cathedral has undergone relocations and renovations, accommodating the burgeoning Catholic families within the community. This cathedral fosters smaller groups that convene throughout the week and evenings, focusing on Bible study, prayer, and mutual support. Additionally, it offers a range of enjoyable activities, including games, team-building exercises, and various school-related segments. The interior design features suspended timber floors and smooth-faced stone around the openings, contributing to the cathedral's inviting atmosphere and aesthetics. ST MICHAEL’S ANGLICAN CATHEDRAL REVIEWS
As far as churches go. This one was pretty good. I'm not the biggest church goer, but the service was beautiful, the hymns were upbeat and enticing and the atmosphere was amazing, the features stain glass windows were amazing all round a good morning.
Made me feel very welcome. Helen came over. Introduced herself and others. Beautiful maintained building. Plenty of seating in and outside. God Bless. I give them 1,000 stars. Highly recommended to worship.
Stunning building. Check out one of the church services. You may be surprised who you meet.

St Francis Xavier Cathedral was established to cater to the expanding Catholic families within the community. The inaugural bishop and his successor laid plans for constructing a new cathedral, which led to the creation of the Xavier Cathedral. The construction of the existing church commenced in 1848, with subsequent expansions occurring at the turn of the century and again in the 1930s. It attained cathedral status in 1951 when Wollongong was officially designated a diocese by Pope Pius XII. Over the years, this church has diligently served the burgeoning Catholic population within the vicinity. 2006, the parish counted approximately 4,300 Catholics, with an aging demographic. Notably, a significant portion of Mass attendees consists of visitors. Furthermore, the cathedral has been instrumental in establishing numerous other parishes, positioning itself as the mother church for over a dozen churches. St Francis Xavier Cathedral hosts monthly masses for the Malayalam and Dutch communities, showcasing its inclusivity and outreach to diverse congregations.
