3 Best Japanese Restaurants in Gold Coast QLD

Top notch restaurant, recommended by our friends. Excellent service and great food. So much and so full at the end of the imperial banquet. We also ordered sashimi platter and oysters. I'm not usually an Oyster eater but I really love the ones from here no metallic taste at all. Great atmosphere the chefs make the ambience fun. You pay for the excellent service and food, great for occasions. Thank you we will come back again.

It's absolutely amazing. 5 stars all round what a great dining experience. This was one of the best highlights of my trip to Queensland, so good. Staff were fantastic. The chef we had was fantastic. It's a must-do. Thanks to everyone at Misono.

Misono made the night Amazing! I went in for dinner with my husband; fresh Sashimi and the teppanyaki portions were huge! Experienced a great service and an entertaining chef throughout the entire meal. Definitely will be back again.

Had a wonderful dinner here, it is such a cool bar with excellent food and great vibes. My mocktail was delicious, all the drinks looked so yum. We ordered the set menu and every item was exquisite. I especially loved the skewers, which were perfectly cooked and smoky. I would absolutely come back again!

Had dinner at Etsu tonight. The food was amazing, but the service we got from our waiter Ricky was even better. His recommendations were spot on as was his attentiveness. The restaurant itself has and awesome vibe and feel to it. Cannot recommend Etsu enough.

Enjoyed some of the best contemporary Japanese food on the Gold Coast. This venue is beautiful, great ambiance and an inconspicuous entry, just like that of the izakayas in Japan. The service was top notch, and the food was just so damn good.

The chef was hilarious and kept us entertained throughout the meal. He kept us entertained with his hilarious jokes and stories throughout the meal. He even told us it was his first day on the job, but we quickly realized it was just a prank because he was a total pro! He frequently checked in to make sure we were pleased with the food. The Asian waitress was also amiable and approachable and took the time to explain everything to us since it was our first time there. Overall, the service was top-notch and really made our day.

Took the family here for an “experience” dinner. The kids loved it and thought it was the “coolest” restaurant they’d ever been to. Food was very flavoursome. We had the beef and seafood option, which was lovely. Kids had the chicken. Probably didn’t need to get fried rice for all 5 of us, but I wanted them to see the experience of it being prepared in front of them on the plate. Great place to take friends or family for an occasion.

We had the best family teppanyaki experience here! The chef was awesome, with so much personality and some great jokes. Our kids loved it, especially the egg-throwing/catching part. Food was also of great quality, which isn’t always the case with teppanyaki. Very big portions too. Highly recommend.
