HMAS Gladstone II (Decommissioned) was decommissioned and generously donated to the Gladstone Maritime History Society. Throughout its career, the patrol boat predominantly operated from the naval base HMAS Cairns, engaging in fisheries and border protection missions. HMAS Gladstone (II) (Decommissioned) now stands preserved and displayed as a museum ship at the Gladstone Maritime Museum. The Gladstone Maritime History Society is pleased to play a role in preserving this important part of naval history. They offer advanced technology, including high-definition navigational radar, high. and ultra-high-frequency communication tools, and an echo sounder. Additionally, it was equipped with a satellite navigation system that enabled precise determination of the ship's position.
