“Queanbeyan Railway Station is a heritage-listed railway station that was opened on 8 September 1887, when the Bombala line was extended from Bungendore. The station was later added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register. The Queanbeyan Railway Station building was officially opened in September 1887, and the station master's residence and the gatekeeper's residence were likely completed in the same year. The platform was built on the southern (Down) side of the railway line, with a carriage dock at the Sydney end. On the northern (Up) side, there was a crossing loop and a stock loop siding.”
