“Queanbeyan Museum strongly focuses on the history of Queanbeyan and the surrounding district. The museum has a broad collection of over 3,500 items, including furniture, textiles, technological objects, costumes, pictures, maps and photographs. The museum was opened in 1969 by the Queanbeyan & District Historical Museum Society Inc. and is currently operated in partnership with the Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Council. There is an active programme of changing exhibitions with regular opening hours and events. Queanbeyan Museum satisfies tourists with the knowledge and insight they are searching for. In addition, tourists can admire the museum's ten galleries and vast outdoor spaces.

2025 Update: Queanbeyan Museum provides free admission and also accepts donations. Queanbeyan Museum was constructed by John Kealman, he is a local builder, for £1,000.”

“Art Society & Gallery is a non-profit organisation that hosts art competitions, exhibitions, and classes. The gallery is an active space, hosting 11 public exhibitions each month. Additionally, the Art Society & Gallery showcases all exhibited works on their website, providing members with the opportunity to reach a wider audience and sell their creations. The Society produces a monthly newsletter to keep members updated on news and upcoming activities. Each year, a calendar is also created, featuring members' artworks and showcasing the winners of each exhibition. Art groups and classes are offered on weekdays, weekends, and evenings. In addition to the regular classes, professional tutors are invited to conduct workshops throughout the year.

THE Q QUEANBEYAN PERFORMING ARTS CENTRE REVIEWS

The foyer has visual interest and enough space for a decent crowd during intermission and before shows, the theatre is well set up for small productions and smaller audiences, the seats are quite comfortable and the rows don't feel cramped. Navigating to your seat is quite easy, rows and seats are well marked.

Excellent. I thoroughly enjoyed the work put into the Oklahoma play. I was impressed with the musical abilities and the over all effort put into bring the story alive. Well done. I will be looking forward to what comes available in the future. So happy to have been able to spend the evening at The Q.

Good theatre space. Saw American idiot the musical here. The theatre space was really nice and clean, all the staff were very accommodating. Food was a little bit pricey, but that's what you would expect from a theatre.

Nice little piece of history to visit. Fun for kids to see how was it in "the olden days". Free, donation based.

My favourite place to visit for Tuesday Morning social art group. It's a wonderful little gallery with an excellent selection of original artwork for sale at very good prices. My wife has bought 3 art pieces over the past few months.

Excellent food,I had eggs Benedict and my daughter had corn fritters,great staff willing to chat and absolutely loved the quirky environment and river.highly recommend.

Great selection of local work in a unique and beautiful spot. Right next to a lovely cafe on the river and a large kids park behind.
