“Dr Robert Edwards is a board-certified pain specialist who completed Medical School at the University of Queensland. He spent several years working in regional and rural Queensland before undertaking specialist training in Anaesthesia in Brisbane. Dr Robert was awarded a Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA) in 2009. He provides anaesthesia and acute pain management at the Friendly Society Private Hospital and the Mater Hospital Bundaberg for various surgeries. 2025 Update: Dr Robert Edwards has undergone training in all sub-specialities of anaesthesia, with significant experience in paediatric and obstetric anaesthesia, as well as in acute pain management, intensive care, and resuscitation/crisis management. He is a member of the Australian Society of Anaesthetists. Dr Edwards has extensive experience in spine surgery and utilises regional analgesia techniques (nerve blocks) to enhance post-operative pain control for a wide range of surgical procedures.”
