“Dr Ian Everitt graduated with Honours from Monash University in Melbourne, earning his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery, and a Diploma in Anatomy. He completed 12 years of combined training in emergency medicine and paediatric care, focusing on paediatric resuscitation. He became the first doctor in Australia to achieve dual fellowship training, earning Fellowships from both The Australasian College for Emergency Medicine and the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (Paediatrics). In 2006, he co-edited the first Australasian textbook on Paediatric Emergency Medicine. Dr Ian Everitt now works as a Consultant Paediatrician at Glengarry Private Hospital, specialising in neonatal care and newborn resuscitation. He also has a private paediatric practice in Duncraig, opposite the hospital, and is especially interested in the fourth trimester of pregnancy.”
