The Grandpa' (O'Ba-San) sushi bar was a pleasant find in the township of Albany. The sushi is fresh, authentic and appropriately priced. Good variety available too.

Albany people’s favorite sushi place.The rice is the best in the town and the girls who work there they are so friendly always know what you want. Definitely deserve giving a try.

went for a quick dinner with my partner, we ordered beef teriyaki box and chicken katsu box. Both were very large serving and very yummy, worth the price! We will be back again in the future

DON JAPANESE FUSION REVIEWS

We were craving sushi and stumbled upon this cozy spot and it did not disappoint! The sushi was fresh and tasty, and they had a great selection of drinks too. We tried the plum and peach wine (more like a liquor), and absolutely loved it. The tofu was cooked perfectly, and the edamame was warm and salted just right — simple dishes done really well. Highly recommend if you’re in Albany and in the mood for Japanese food. We’ll definitely be back.

What a find! Delicious food - we had the chicken katsu curry and some sushi which were all excellent. The miso soup was very authentic and hit the spot on a cold and rainy evening. Great selection of japanese carbonated drinks. And to top it all off, warm and friendly service.

Amazing food as always! We get a selection of dishes to share between us and it never disappoints. First time trying the blossom sushi roll tonight and it was delicious.

I am glad that I marked this place for dinner on a trip to Denmark in Western Australia. The food here is so comforting on a cool Spring evening. The chicken karaage has very crispy skin and juicy tender meat inside. It is the first time I have hot udon with agedashi dofu in the bowl. I am also delighted that they have Dassai 45 - perfect complement with the dishes.

We had dinner here during our family trip downsouth last time and were so happy this restaurant was open and we got to have delicious dinner that everyone enjoyed! Good thing we're there in one of the weeknights because I knew (from my past trips) this place has limited trading hours. So I specifically told my family we had to come to this place. The service by the owners were so lovely, generous portions and we even tried the beautiful sparkling sake. Must try! A great place to dine in Denmark.

A cute, cosy restaurant serving delicious Japanese comfort food. Very reasonable prices and generous portions. Struggled to finish the dinner special (chicken katsu curry, $18) which was particularly crispy and unctuous. Udon ($18.50) broth had a balanced amount of bonito. Flavours really hit the spot. Excellent service too.
