“The Baxter Inn is a sophisticated bar dedicated to whisky and blues, opened in the central business district in 2011, followed in 2013 by another basement venue, Frankie's Pizza, combining the virtues of a front-room pizzeria with a back room dedicated to hard rock and cold beer, opening late every night of the week. The Baxter Inn has a usual old style on tap, rotating beers, and a decent wine selection and drinks are made using locally sourced ingredients. Their collection includes some of the rarest and oldest varieties of the most beloved rum brands. They are a perfect spot to enjoy your corporate functions, weddings, anniversaries, and birthday parties. They have live performances and great cocktails, and accept credit and debit card payments.

2025 Update: The vibe was both vibrant and cosy, featuring wonderful music, chic decor, and perfectly balanced lighting that created an ideal ambience for an enjoyable evening out.”

Dinner last night, had the pizza and wine with a friend. Wow! Delicious We loved it. We are definitely coming back. Beautiful Bar and such a nice ambiance and overall nice staff all around!!! Wanted to say thanks especially to the cooks/chefs. Love from Thailand.

The security in particular was outstanding. When we arrived, the place was packed and we couldn’t find a table. Security went above and beyond to help us secure the best place possible! Friendly and professional with a great sense of humour and fun on a lovely sunny Sydney Sunday! Thank you.

My first time at Opera Bar and I absolutely loved it! What a vibe, what a view and the service is great. Delicious selection of cocktails, tasty food options. Will definitely be back!

Hands down, still the best whiskey bar in Sydney. I always opt to sit at the bar, so I can get the recommendations from the knowledgeable bar staff. It always amazes me how much they know, remember and hit the mark with their suggestions. The selection on offer is enormous and I always end up getting to sample whiskeys that are tasty and won't find in your local Dan Murphy's store. But they do those as well, if you are looking for it. My best experience has always been to sample scotches from the various regions in Scotland. It always makes for a great night. Keep up the excellent work team.

Amazing cocktail bar. We ordered 3 cocktails, but the last one was really unbalanced and we couldn’t recognize the flavors. Anyway the bartender Ty is a great host, friendly but professional. The lady with red hair (I don’t remember her name, but she should be the supervisor or the manager) is knowledgeable and gentle. Good good good good service!

Absolutely loved this whiskey bar! Definitely recommend. They have soo many types of whiskeys to chose from. The use fresh apple juice for one of their off menu cocktails. I loved the music here. Staff was very helpful and friendly.

It’s a great experience in Zephyr. The outstanding view, the wonderful cocktails and warm atmosphere. Miss Gwen is a great stuff in Zephyr. She is super friendly with me. Moreover, she is willing to serve the guest from her heart. I will definitely come back to this bar.

Possibly the best place in Sydney for a drink! Highly recommended if you are visiting CBD! Stunning views and delectable cuisine!
