OPERA BAR REVIEWS
Located between the Sydney Opera House and the Quarter Quay station along the open air lower walkway pass. We only stopped for a couple of drinks, but got to enjoy the crowd gathering outside for one of the many Melbourne Cup celebrations. The bar is long and curved with an open view of the port including the bridge and and docked cruise ships. There's plenty of both inside and outside seating arrangements. The staff were friendly and attentive even as the customer crowd grew.
Nice spot, initially thought it might be one of those tourist traps because it’s wrapped around the Sydney opera house in probably the nicest spots on the bay. Was pleasantly surprised to find the wine nice, cocktails well made and for the same prices you’d see elsewhere in Sydney. Don’t bother with any of the other bars along the harbour, this is the only one worth visiting. A lot of seagulls though. If you want to eat here maybe find a secluded corner otherwise you might find your food flying away.
Been to Opera a few times the atmosphere is just a place you can go to relax and take in the outstanding view of the Sydney harbour and the opera house. Good I have experienced at opera bar has always been great food. So if you haven’t tried Opera bar give it a go. Have a drink some food and soak up the view and hoping it’s good weather.

The Baxter Inn, a bar dedicated to whisky and blues, opened in the central business district in 2011, following suit in 2013, another basement establishment, Frankie’s Pizza, emerged—a fusion of a front-room pizzeria and a back room dedicated to hard rock and cold beer, operating late every night. At The Baxter Inn, patrons can expect a lineup of classic beers on tap, a rotation of brews, and a respectable wine assortment. Their attentive team prioritizes personalized service for each customer, crafting drinks with locally sourced ingredients. The bar's ambience creates a stress-relieving atmosphere. Notably, The Baxter Inn houses a collection featuring some of the world's rarest and oldest rum varieties, beloved by enthusiasts worldwide. THE BAXTER INN REVIEWS
Hands down, still the best whiskey bar in Sydney. I always opt to sit at the bar, so I can get the recommendations from the knowledgeable bar staff. It always amazes me how much they know, remember and hit the mark with their suggestions. The selection on offer is enormous and I always end up getting to sample whiskeys that are tasty and won't find in your local Dan Murphy's store. But they do those as well, if you are looking for it. My best experience has always been to sample scotches from the various regions in Scotland. It always makes for a great night. Keep up the excellent work team.
The nostalgia of having to walk into a dark laneway and then down and back entrance to a basement to find an Old Style whisky Bar was like walking back in time! Sitting at the Bar you get overwhelmed by the selection of whisky on display! And the continuous cocktail making performance was entertainment enough for anyone looking for a good night out! Only found this place due to the lack of venue opening at late hours on a weekday, and this place open till 3am!
Must go to place in Sydney. I have never been to a place with as much whiskey. They have a bible and they know their history. I pretty much had a whiskey tasting your of Australia and the prices are reasonable and visible. Glenn and Glynn were both exceptional. Thanks again.

O BAR AND DINING REVIEWS
View nearly as good as the "other revolving restaurant" in Sydney, but food was superb. Painfully expensive, but at least it's really good. Wonderful lamb: most succulent I can remember. Excellent duck entree. The passionfruit souffle was just perfect - bold flavour, with interesting sort of tea (early grey? green? not quite sure) subtle flavours. Ambience and decor rather stylish... but you mostly ignore that and look at the view, of course. So totally worth it for a special occasion.
The perfect place for the celebration of a special event. The views of the night lights is magical. The service was friendly and attentive. A good selection of wine. The icing on the top was the food. If you are a foodie or in to fine dining or want to discover what fine dining is then you won't be disappointed. The combination of flavours was heavenly and very rich. It was a pleasure to eat slowly to savour the flavours.
This was our second visit to the restaurant, and once again, it didn't disappoint. The view is stunning! From the main entrees to the desserts, everything was fantastic. The desserts were especially yummy !!We love it and will definitely be back. The only drawback was that the cocktails weren't great. Still, considering everything else was excellent, I can't rate them lower than 5 stars.
