“St Nicholas Catholic Church Tamworth provides an average of 69 baptisms, 64 first communions, 66 confirmations, and towards 30-40 marriages each year. The first church was blessed and opened in 1859. The church is built in the Gothic Revival style and has a symbolic emphasis on the praying hands of the arches and the warm, friendly, prayerful interior. St Nicholas Catholic Church Tamworth provides the practice of their Faith, marked by continual practical expressions of charity and confidence in Divine Providence. The church cares for over 375 children in their Catholic primary school, helps with the pastoral and spiritual care of McCarthy Catholic College, and has over 530 Catholic children in other than Catholic schools.

Lovely big church, we loved the way that young people featured in all aspects of the mass. Very welcoming parishioners and great down to earth priest.

A true parish of the Universal Church where the people are friendly and welcoming; from the presiding Rev. Frs. to the parishioners. The homilies are unadulterated words of God and precise.

Beautiful church.....I was there for my 2yr old grandaughters funeral and the priest was very accommodating with our requests to make the service child friendly.

SAINT JOHN'S ANGLICAN CHURCH REVIEWS

This is an op shop with prices set to what those on low incomes can afford. Unlike the Salvation Army whose prices are often dearer for used items which they had to pay nothing for, than Kmart or Target. I know who I'll be donating my preloved items to in future.

I attended a early Sunday service with Father Brian officiating. The people were ever so welcoming. Beautiful morning tea and Op shop. Plenty of parking and shade around. Highly recommended.

Church with parking, as well as an op shop selling clothes and the opshed selling everything else. Great prices and service. A wonderful addition to the community.
