Tamworth’s most surprising foodie gem was actually arrived at through an off-hand tip from a mate who lives in Quirindi. Upon hearing I was looking for a farmers’ market for produce to take back to Sydney, she suggested that the local French joint, Le Pruneau, also sells a range of conventional and certified organic vegetables. Cue me heading there for breakfast...

Great spot tucked away from the busy city centre, this converted Catholic Nun’s residence is perfect to do some work or study whilst having a coffee and snack. Tables under the vines outside or two rooms to choose from inside. Just what I was after.

Great food, great service, staff are so friendly and helpful. I had the daily special of loaded French toast and it was delicious.

The food was phenomenal! Coming from Sydney, am used to some pretty amazing restaurants and the food at riviera bar and grill is definitely up there. The food was fresh, cooked perfectly, served on time; and was just so delicious! The steak was of outstanding quality! Well done team! recommend

Ate with my partner on Saturday night, the food and service were perfect. We had gnocchi ragu for starters to share which was very tasty. Then for main, we shared a dozen Sydney rock oysters and pan-seared salmon on a bed of zucchini noodles. Pleasantly surprised to get quality seafood and quality homemade pasta all the way in Tamworth!

Have to say, the current menu is outstanding, we have visited quite a few times, and each time it’s been the perfect night. Everyone’s dishes have been of high level, the staff are friendly and attentive, really couldn’t fault anything. This is now our go to restaurant in Tamworth.
