“Dr Stephen J Williams is currently a Senior Visiting Medical Officer (VMO) in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Westmead Hospital. He covers all aspects of therapeutic endoscopy and gastroenterology, with a particular interest in the endoscopic management of large colonic polyps as well as biliary and pancreatic disease, and the role of endoscopy in the diagnosis and therapy of these conditions. With a long-term commitment to the training of gastroenterology at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, Dr Williams trains registrars and fellows in the art and science of endoscopy. He is committed to training fellow gastroenterologists at the tertiary level, having convened and participated in multiple endoscopy workshops, both nationally and internationally. Dr Williams has over 110 publications in peer-reviewed journals, as well as multiple presentations at national and international conferences. Dr Williams is part of Rosemont’s Gastroenterology Open Access Program.

Dr Abey has looked after my health for the past 6 years. He is a very knowledgeable and highly skilled gastroenterologist, whose attention to detail is unmatched. Dr Abey has successfully dealt with polyps in my duodenum, which would still be there today, or worse (!) as most other gastroenterologists would never have diagnosed them, if they had only performed routine colonoscopy, without gastroscopy. I wholeheartedly recommend Dr Abey to anybody who wishes to be treated by a leader in his profession.

I have suffered from ulcerative colitis for more than 15 years and have been a patient of Dr. Abey's since my initial diagnosis. I have experienced a consistently high quality of care under Dr. Abey who has always worked his magic in helping me recover from debilitating flare ups. He has a very clear communication style and works extremely hard for his patients, putting in long hours over and above expectations. I have no reservations in recommending Dr. Abey for anyone looking for a top-notch gastroenterologist.

Dr Abey was able to diagnose my ulcerative colitis efficiently, gave helpful information and put me at ease with the ability to manage the condition. After a number of setbacks with ineffective medication, he persisted with different options until the right medication was found and successful. Would highly recommend.

Very easy booking in process I was fully informed of the procedure and pricing and the staff were so friendly even going out of their way to work around my work schedule to fit me in for the pre procedure appointment with the nurse.

Very professional caring staff. High-quality care and efficiency. I was very nervous but the staff throughout my journey from bookings to pre-admission, the procedure itself and at recovery room treated me with so much care and dignity. Can't thank you enough.
