“Dr Alex Polyakov completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) at the University of Adelaide in 2000. He holds several advanced degrees, including a Graduate Certificate in Evidence-Based Medicine (GradCertEBM) from Monash University, a Master of Bioethics (MBioeth) from Monash University, a Master of Health and Medical Law (MHealth & MedLaw) from the University of Melbourne, a Master of Reproductive Medicine (MRMed) with Distinction from UNSW, and a Master of Clinical Epidemiology/Biostatistics (MClinEpid) with Distinction from the University of Newcastle. Dr Polyakov is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRANZCOG) and a Fellow of the Australasian College of Legal Medicine (FACLM). He is fluent in Russian and Ukrainian. He is also a member of several professional organisations, including the Australian Medical Association (AMA), the Australasian College of Legal Medicine, the American Society of Reproductive Medicine, and the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology. Dr Polyakov has delivered over 5,000 babies and has helped more than 2,000 couples conceive using assisted reproductive techniques (ART) such as IVF. He specialises in IVF procedures and infertility treatment in East Melbourne. Additionally, he performs a high volume of laparoscopic gynaecological surgeries, including advanced fertility procedures to treat conditions such as uterine fibroids, PCOS, endometriosis, and more.”
