Time to give a long overdue review of Central Hypnosis in Bendigo. Keith McNamara is an awesome practitioner, he is friendly and welcoming and great at explaining exactly what hypnosis is and what it is not and what goals can be achieved. If you are reading this review then obviously you are ready to start your journey of change. If you go into any therapist begrudgingly then you will not have as much success as you would if you are willing to go of your own volition. I went to Keith 40 days ago to see if he could help me to lose weight. Keith had a significant discount on offer if you signed on for 3 sessions (which I did)... So, with the help of Keith and an app he recommended, I have lost 8kg so far (and counting!) and have not missed out on any of my favorites foods or experiences! Keith was recommended to me by a friend who has lost much more weight than me as well. I had seriously been considering surgical intervention for my weight loss which was going to cost many thousands of dollars and have significant risks (as well as a lengthy recovery period), this was not required. Thank you Central Hypnosis. Highly recommended. 5 Stars.

After 3 sessions with Keith I have already noticed a huge difference in my level of comfort in social settings. I am much more open to engaging in conversations and feel like a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders. I can definitely recommend Central Counselling and Hypnosis if you’re ready to make a positive impact in your life. You can just tell that Keith loves what he does and it’s so refreshing to see that.

Without going into the messy details - Nathan has an abundance (pardon the pun) of tools, science, frameworks, insights and lived experience that he brings to each session. He holds space and frames things in a way that both makes sense (the crystal clear kind) and acknowledges and validates the experience and the person at the same time (not that we need validating from anyone else, but it massively helps to get some outside perspective). He has helped me to understand my feelings/behaviours/choices; give context to where they have come from and why - and this alone is bringing me greater peace, self-compassion, self-love and self-integrity with each week. However, there is more - he has some clearing/healing processes (ask him about these, he'll explain them better) and also invites me to make micro-changes and do things differently. All of which are also subtle but super powerful. I'm not a talk therapy kinda gal, I don't need someone to just listen and validate my feelings, I'm here to do the work and grow and live my best life. And I've said many times already - we've found GOLD in Nathan. (Let it be noted - Nathan can do talk therapy too, it's just he has so much more to offer.

Nathan's ability to hear and see you for all that you are, coupled with his incredible knowledge and skills in guiding you to all you can be/all you want to be- is truly the reason why anyone would want to have him as their counsellor. I've never met another counsellor or psychologist who can compare.

It's a great opportunity to be mentored by Nathan. He creates a safe and non judgemental space in order to be able to mentor you through your healing journey safely.
