3 Best Indian Restaurants in Dubbo NSW

So many restaurants are bland in their fit out, bland in their menu offering and an overall bland experience. The moment I walked into Royal India Resotbar I was no longer in Dubbo. The colours, furniture, and fit out immediately transports the visitor to India. It feels special. Given the costs of operating a hospitality venue there appeared to be many staff all over the large area of the dining room. The menu offers a large choice and the wine list is interesting. I felt a little overwhelmed at the choices on the menu mainly due to my lack of knowledge about Indian food - with a little help from the waiter I overcame my indecision. What is remarkable is that on a busy night not only were the wait staff attentive and quick, the food itself appeared so quickly. I do not know what magic happens in the kitchen. Good Indian food is usually a multi-sense experience. So it was here. Colours, texture, flavour, aroma, presentation - all combined to leave me and and my friends with a memorable dining experience. Nobody goes hungry with an Indian feast at this restaurant.

Restaurant was just stunning. Decor, food and service were exceptional. It is an absolute credit to you for the amount of pride you take in your business. I am looking forward to going to your Newcastle restaurant, staff said that Newcastle is even grander.

Amazing atmosphere & fantastic food. Food was served quickly and the staff were very polite. Highly recommend.

I've eaten Indian food Brick Lane, London. Boston. Melbourne. Sydney. Gold Coast. Many others. This Indian food in Dubbo is probably the best I've ever eaten. I hope the locals embrace this delicious cuisine, cooked and served within a warm and calm restaurant with friendly and happy staff. Apologies, only took one photo, these are our empty plates. Enough said I think.

This restaurant will not disappoint! We got Malai kofta, chicken curry, palak paneer and garlic naan. The food was nothing short of perfect. Very affordable, good quality food with outstanding service. Can’t ask for much more :)) will be coming back.

Great food. Wonderful lamb vindaloo and aloo mutter. Very quiet for a Thursday evening, and service was excellent.

The best Indian food I have had in Australia. We ordered prawn biryani, potato & peas curry and jeera rice. They were all delicious, especially the potato & peas curry which was outstanding. The owner of the restaurant was concerned that our expectation may not be met when we asked for mild spice on both dishes. She politely let us know that they cannot lower the spice in certain dishes and biryani was one of them. We had no problem with that, as we simply didn't share the biryani with our two year old. I must say that one mustn't be fooled by the restaurant atmosphere which gives off the modest appeal of a takeaway restaurant because the food is definitely worthy of being served at a fine dining restaurant.

We had takeaway and it was absolutely terrific! We had Rojan Josh, Malai Kofta and Mutter Mushroom with Aloo Kulcha and rice. It was soooo good!
