ICHI JAPANESE RESTAURANT REVIEWS
We visited ICHI quite some time ago and weren't overly impressed - but something has significantly changed for the better. The overwhelmingly positive influence was from the older lady staffing at front of house. From the moment of taking our phone booking, through the whole experience - she was faultless and just nonchalantly went about her work whilst interacting professionally with diners. This is a perfect example of why Australian businesses need to employ more older people - she's a true gift. My wife went to the extent of stating she reminded her of her grandmother - and that's extremely high praise. Outstanding service aside, let's get to the food (this is a restaurant, after all). Starters came out at breakneck speed. Don't order the Miso soup as a starter (one of my Japanese bellwether dishes) as it's served as a side with mains. I was gobsmacked to see hiramasa sashimi in Toowoomba - by far my favourite starter in any cuisine if I had a choice. The cut was slightly thic
The portion sizes are heaps, great prices considering the amount of food you get. The karaage chicken is some of the best I’ve had and it is GF. I also had the salmon tataki, seared scallop and kingfish - all were deliciously fresh and chunky! The bento boxes are also bigger than your average.
We love coming here. A family friendly restaurant with a very homely atmosphere. The pork ramen and sashimi in particular are our favourites. Food is always fresh and servings sizes are excellent. Also a large range of drinks

TOKYO TRAIN REVIEWS
Fantastic sushi with minor downfalls. My friend's kitchen Katsu was drenched in BBQ sauce. Could barely taste the food. We also didn't get a last order call out unlike others before the kitchen closed for the night.
The food and service here are amazing we come here at least twice a month and I am NEVER disappointed. Everyone who works here are top notch. Literally my favourite place to eat in Toowoomba.
Honestly my favourite place to go weather it’s for, date night or lunch with the girls or even just because you feel like good sushi. The food is amazing and prices are even better. The staff and how the greet all of there customers is so precious and welcoming.

Inviting my friends for a birthday dinner. We ordered a mixed vegetables hotpot and fried chicken for 3 of us. They both tasted good and went well with our beer.
This place never fails. We take friends and family here as a treat and even go by ourselves for birthdays and anniversaries. Great value for money, amazing flavours.
