Specialty:

Regional Railway Station Island Platform Historic Place

Drouin Railway Station is a ground-level, unstaffed station featuring an island platform with two faces. The station is believed to have been named either after a Frenchman who invented a chlorination process for the extraction of gold and metals from ore or after an Aboriginal word meaning 'north wind.' Drouin station opened on 1 March 1878, when the railway line was extended from Bunyip to Moe. The station building underwent refurbishment, during which it received Viclink purple station signage. Drouin Railway Station was the first station on the regional rail network to feature this new signage.
