“Warragul Cemetery is maintained by Trustees from within the local community. The cemetery is a 10-acre site situated at the corner of Victoria and Sutton Streets in Warragul. The 57-acre site is designed to accommodate future needs. There were only a few cemeteries when the Cemetery was gazetted in the year 1878. The paths and compartments were built in the year 1883. “Warragul War Memorial serves as a tribute to individuals from the district who sacrificed their lives in service or were killed in action during various conflicts involving Australia.
