“Professor Marcus Stoodley earned his medical degree from the University of Queensland Medical School and completed his neurosurgery training in Australia. He underwent subspecialty training in vascular neurosurgery at Stanford University and the University of Chicago in the USA. Professor Marcus Stoodley is the Head of Neurosurgery at Macquarie University Hospital and the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at Macquarie University. He has authored over 120 publications and supervised more than 15 PhD students. Additionally, he has delivered over 70 invited lectures at national and international scientific meetings. In 2012, he was honoured with the prestigious John Mitchell Crouch Fellowship by the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, their premier surgical research award. Professor Marcus Stoodley is internationally recognised for his clinical expertise in managing Chiari malformation, syringomyelia, and cerebral bypass surgeries.”
