“Dr George Gayagay is an orthopaedic surgeon interested in Hips, Knees, Hands and Wrists, Foot and Ankles, Trauma and Medicolegal work. He graduated from the University of Sydney and completed his Orthopaedic Specialist training in NSW. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and the Australian Orthopaedic Association. Paul Smith in Canberra, along with visits to both the US and Europe to work with surgeons specialising in direct anterior hip surgeries. He has introduced the first artificial intelligence (AI) navigated knee replacement, 3D printed knee prosthesis, and, most recently, robotic-guided knee replacements. He is one of the pioneering orthopaedic surgeons sent by the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and AusAID to help train and establish the orthopaedic department at the National Hospital in Dili, Timor-Leste.”
