“Dr Gregory Freeman completed his Bachelor of Medicine / Bachelor of Surgery at the University of New South Wales, Australia. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, Australia. Dr Freeman is an experienced orthopaedic surgeon with a special interest in anterior approach hip replacement and knee replacement surgery. He has performed more than 10,000 operations. His practice emphasises high-quality care, including pre-surgical preparation, performing surgery, and ensuring optimal recovery. Dr Freeman closely monitors implant designs, surgical materials, and techniques, adopting only those proven to be safe and effective.

2025 Update: He was appointed a member of the Medical Assessment Tribunals for the Queensland Regulator of WorkCover from 2010 to present. Dr Gregory Freeman was the first surgeon to perform the modern anterior hip replacement surgery in Queensland in 2009.”

My husband needed a hip replacement recently and due to his numerous other long term injuries it was imperative he find a Surgeon who specialised in the minimally invasive Anterior Hip Replacement procedure. My husband recovered in remarkably quick time with very minimal discomfort and is now walking and manouvering himself better than he has in years. Dr Freeman is an excellent Doctor with polite & easy nature. We would recommend anyone needing a hip replacement to see him.

I spent years looking for somebody to fix my chipped toes on my feet. They all were interested in doing big ridiculous ops. Dr Freeman operated on my feet and I was back driving a car 4 days later. He is very knowledgeable, and polite and I would go back to him anytime. I am so happy with the results. I have seen their ultra of other people with hip replacements that he did. Just fantastic.

Prior to my total hip replacement I researched options and providers before deciding on Dr Freeman. Although his practice and hospital is some distance from home (Brisbane northside) I wanted to ensure I had a quality surgeon skilled at the anterior approach. My effort was well validated. Dr Freeman did a great job. Many nursing staff in hospital commented that Dr Freeman's patients recover quicker than most and I am almost able to walk independent just 1 week out from the hospital. Dr Freeman is a quality surgeon and I am really glad I had him on my side for this procedure. I totally recommend. - JO
