“Dr Sushama Desphande is an Australian-trained interventional pain specialist and anaesthetist. She is highly trained and skilled in performing interventional pain procedures, including radiofrequency ablation, regional blocks, neuromodulation and intrathecal implants. She is passionate about combining these with a multidisciplinary treatment approach to improve the quality of pain management. Dr Sushama is determined to give back to the community through providing her services and expanding her involvement in patient and physician education and support. She also contributes to the acute pain services and chronic pain services at Nepean Hospital and works closely with the palliative care unit, cancer care, and drug and addiction specialists.”
