Professor Marcus Stoodley completed his medical education at the University of Queensland, Australia. After finishing neurosurgery training in Australia, he undertook further subspecialty training in vascular neurosurgery at Stanford University and the University of Chicago in the United States. He got his Fellowship from the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 1997. He is head of neurosurgery at Macquarie University Hospital and the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences. His clinical subspecialty qualification is neurovascular surgery, and he manages aneurysms and vascular malformations. Professor Marcus Stoodley has produced over 120 publications and has managed over 15 research students. In addition, he has delivered over 70 invited lectures at national and international scientific meetings. He was honoured to receive the prestigious John Mitchell Crouch Fellowship from the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.
