Machattie Park is a historically significant destination for enjoying time with family and friends. The park boasts a valuable collection of mature and majestic trees, used informally and formally as avenue plantings. Machattie Park has a Bandstand, Fernery, Lake Spencer, Caretakers Cottage, Crago Fountain, and Munro Drinking Fountain. The park offers many recreational activities like exercise, walking, cycling, and playing. Some fine specimens of exotic trees include Bunya Pine, Atlas Cedar, Deodar Cedar, Red Beech, English Oak, Pin Oak, Wellingtonia, and more. Most of these trees are not native to Australia. There is a large, beautiful fountain and the rotunda. The grass is lush, well-kept, and green, with plenty of open space for picnics or strolls. Machattie Park has ample parking areas.
