National Motor Racing Museum was opened in 1988. It is situated next to the Mount Panorama racing circuit. The museum honours Australian motorsports history, celebrities and achievements. The museum's goal is to preserve and archive material regarding the history of Australian motor racing and to increase the visibility and value of motor racing in Australia. It covers the history of pace, wind, drag, racing, open wheeler, sports car, and touring cars. Ash's Speedway Museum was opened in 2011 in Bathurst, NSW. It is the Southern hemisphere's biggest speedway museum. Speedway heritage focuses on preserving the memories of gathered over the last 30 years. It has a vast collection of old and new bikes and sidecars, the world's largest selection of jackets on the walls of the museum. The collection comprises items from the 1920s and all around the world. The visitors will be fascinated by the world's largest display of jackets on the walls of the museum.
