3 Best Parks in Central Coast NSW

Memorial Park is located in the heart of The Entrance in New South Wales, Australia. It has a wonderful playground, toilets and shower facilities, and is right on the water. Occasionally there’s street entertainment to enjoy. There are BBQ’s and plenty of green space to enjoy a picnic or watch pelican feeding at 3.30pm each day where dozens of pelicans fly in for their feed, regardless of what the weather is like. The birds are not only fed, but also checked and treated for injuries. This is also where the Entrance farmers market is held on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month which sells fresh produce as well as beautiful art and craft pieces. Younger children can enjoy Vera’s water garden which features brightly painted fountains and a paddling pool and a great shaded playground or they can take a ride on the historic carousel or the Ferris Wheel. Older children can enjoy challenging their parents on the giant chessboard. There’s a wide range of restaurants and cafes as well as shops to browse through. The walkway along the water is wonderful to stroll along, especially at dusk. The view over the water is beautiful.

Great playground with so many activities for kids. Normally my 2 years old can only play some of the games in regular playgrounds. but with this one, she can play so many. I think the design are pretty good. Games are close knit but in good lay out. And seems like they are in good maintenance. So kudos to great work from the council. It was quite cloudy on the day we visited. But we were lucky to enjoy a nice view of the entrance water colour.

I really enjoyed the relaxing vibe of this place. Along with a playground and water play area, there is plenty of space to sit and enjoy the waterfront. There are some rides for the kids as well. Pelicans are spectacular to watch. Parking and rest rooms are plenty.

Great park for all the family. Lots of free parking, great play areas for kids of all ages. Large field for playing. Boat ramp. Long cycle path for people of all ages. Watchout for the locals who ring their bells and want topush past and give you abuse if you are in the way. Most of the locals were lovely however with plenty of smiles and good mornings. Great BMX track for the kids.

This park is an absolute gem for families! With swings, slides, a sandpit, and shaded areas, it caters to kids of all ages. The fully fenced perimeter offers peace of mind, allowing parents to unwind while the little ones play safely. Plus, its proximity to the long jetty foreshore adds to its appeal.

A great place to hangout with family. Kids will be busy playing all the games. Don't forget to take your push bike and camera. Enough parking spaces, bbq spot, picnic spot, walking trail, etc. And yes, there are restrooms as well.

A great weekend getaway for Sydneysiders, Lions Park is just about 57 kms North of Hornsby. Located at the beautiful Bay Side Town Woy Woy and surrounded by Brisbane Water, Lions Park is a very popular attractions for tourists and locals alike. With a Pelican Island nearby, the park is teamed with many wide lifes. I have been there several times for picnics and BBQs with family and friends, and I have just fallen in love with it. With Coles and Woolworths in town, as well as many shops, you can enjoy plentiful varities of foods. However, the BBQ facility is highly in demand, partcularly during the weekends, because there is only one. So be prepared please. Still, highly recommend. I am uploading a few photos.

Great place has a small place to eat unsure their hours . has bathroom facilities available and water refill stations and lots of birds and a wonderful playground for the little ones even a sound of birds located in the area so the children can see if they can hear and see them lots of parking available wonderful day out with a picnic lunch.

The playspace has been recently transformed with exciting new equipment and diverse play areas, creating endless fun for kids and families to enjoy! Local cafe across the road, plenty of picnic tables to sit at, and public toilet access close by.
