Old Gippstown is a collection of authentic buildings dating back to the 1840s and continuing through to the 1930s. The site covers 8 acres and features several National Trust classified buildings and one of Australia's best collections of horse-drawn vehicles and farm equipment. Old Gippstown aims to showcase the history of Gippsland for the benefit of current and future generations by preserving, researching, and presenting its unique collections. The attraction includes Dr Andrew's collection and the Narracan Mechanics' Institute library. Old Gippstown hosts many family fun days and themed events, including car shows.

Traralgon Railway Reservoir Conservation Reserve spans 29.5 hectares of varied grassland and bush with a lake in the centre, which is part of the catchment of Traralgon Creek. This area of Gippsland is Gunai-Kurnai country, specifically belonging to the Woolum Woolum people of the Braiakaulung clan. The shelter also has a picnic table and seating, as well as a large wooden decking area overlooking the lake. The track takes you around the wetland, home to native plants, numerous birds and a popular spot for birdwatchers. A bird hide provides viewing holes for children and adults, and the best time for viewing is at sunrise or sunset. Traralgon Railway Reservoir Conservation Reserve is ideal for a stroll, with park benches scattered throughout the reserve. Wheelchair access is available.

Yallourn North & District Historical Society tells the story living history of the Old Brown Coal Mine, Yallourn North, Yallourn, and the former State Electricity Commission work area, incorporating the Yallourn Power Station. The society was established in 1947-48 for the former State Electricity Commission of Victoria, and the building served as a recreation centre for the residents of the single men’s camp. This building in Yallourn North was referred to by various locals as the YMCA or youth club hall. Yallourn North & District Historical Society is a comparatively young building compared to other facilities around Victoria. Throughout the year, the society conducts a series of outstanding displays. These displays have featured general memorabilia, old tins, old tools, club trophies, Anzac displays, wedding and debutante gowns, and dresses.
