OLD GIPPSTOWN REVIEWS
Spent the afternoon wondering around Old Gippstown with three of my grandchildren and they loved it. They were so amused at what we "used to do in the olden days". We had afternoon tea once we were finished and that just topped off a lovely day. Well worth a visit.
A brilliant few hours spent wondering around Old Gippstown. Really interesting historic buildings, signage and information boards. The staff on reception were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the entrance fee was very reasonable. There's a cafe on site too, and dogs are allowed in the park on leash. Plenty of see here and very highly recommended!
We had a great time and our 7 year old son loved it as well. It was great to see all the original buildings and the original contents. Straightaway the Redgum transporter with is the trunk wheels was so impressive. One of the other highlights were the ducklings, pick up some feed at the reception on the way in.

TRARALGON RAILWAY RESERVOIR CONSERVATION RESERVE REVIEWS
Fantastic local, natural parkland with lake. Easy to access, parking for several cars, easy walk around the lake. Take your time and look for the bird life, butterflies, dragonflies, tiny tiny fish at the edge of the lake. I definitely recommend this park for a leisurely stroll around the lake. And take a picnic! Because there are several spots with benches and picnic tables.
Beautiful reservoir with lots of bird wildlife around the lake. Pleasant walk around the lake and through the grassland area with plenty of photo opportunities for bird lovers or nature photographers. A few places to picnics, toilet facilities and great for children. Wheelchair and pushchair friendly, and a great hour or two spent here.
This was a beautiful morning out for me and my 4 year old. It has toilets and water and nice places to sit with kids for a picnic. Very picturesque on a gorgeous May day. Easy to navigate with prams and bikes.

Yallourn North & District Historical Society presents the living history of the Old Brown Coal Mine, Yallourn North, Yallourn, and the former State Electricity Commission work area, encompassing the Yallourn Power Station. Housed in Yallourn North, this building was referred to by locals as the YMCA or youth club hall and is relatively young compared to other facilities across Victoria. Throughout the year, the society organizes a series of remarkable exhibitions. These displays have showcased various items such as general memorabilia, old tins, tools, club trophies, Anzac memorabilia, wedding and debutante gowns, and dresses. Dedicated volunteers run the Yallourn North & District Historical Society.

YALLOURN NORTH & DISTRICT HISTORICAL SOCIETY REVIEWS
This is an amazing museum run by volunteers of the local historical society. It has a lot of old photos, clothing, machinery, scale models and many other consumer items from the past local mining industry. You may need about 4+ hours if you want to observe them carefully. There are a heaps of items organized in a relatively less space. The opening hours are not certain, but mostly open on Sundays. It is a good idea to give them a call before you plan to visit the museum. The phone number can be found on the google page. The volunteering staff is extremely friendly and explain everything to you very clearly and in detail manner. It has a water fountain which created for welcoming the queen in the past, still operational.
Absolutely fantastic museum that tells the history of Yallourn, Yallourn North, the power station and much more, including garment displays. There was just so much stuff to see. The museum is looked after by wonderful volunteers.
A very well thought out and displayed Musuem run by incredibly passionate volunteers. Can not recommend enough.
