“Dr Shannon Morton completed her medical internship at Logan Hospital. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Medicine from the University of Queensland. Dr Shannon Morton treats all mental health and behavioural disorders from a biopsychosocial framework, which includes ordering medical tests and prescribing medication. She also provides individual, family, or group psychotherapy. Her research experience includes self-injury in adolescents and Tourette’s Syndrome. Dr Shannon Morton practices at the Kooky Clinic. She subsequently joined the Psychiatry training program and completed training terms in Adult Mental Health, Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Basic Training, and Forensic Mental Health.
