Shawn and the team at Base designed our family home with the way we live in mind. With a family of six to keep happy, the living spaces were always going to be key. The design works beautifully and we particularly love the kitchen/deck area that opens up to a large livable space. We are also very happy with the excellent use of louvers and windows in the right places to ensure great natural ventilation throughout the home. The professional and friendly manner in which the whole team conduct themselves is an absolute credit to Shawn and all the Base staff. My wife and I worked with BASE on a character listed property in 2009. They were given the job of adhering to the areas strict character codes whilst working within the confines of a narrow block with a long list of requirements for our perfect family home. We consulted three architects for this project and Shawn's proposal was by far the best and in keeping with our brief. Shawn and the team at BASE have an ability to listen to a clients needs moreso than other architectural firms that I've dealt with over the years. We have lived in BASE designed home for four years and could not be happier with the design, functionality and layout. I used Base's services to design a high end townhouse development and the outcome exceeded my expectations. The final design suited the site perfectly and allowed for the largest possible houses. I had to return to Base to request a few amendments due to unrelated circumstances and Base were nothing but helpful in working with me to get the amendments completed in the shortest amount of time possible. Base were a pleasure to work with and I commend them for their customer service. I wont hesitate to use them again for my next project and couldn't recommend them enough.
