3 Best Bakeries in Port Macquarie NSW

Anyone wanting to start a bakery needs to come and visits Bels Bakery Port Macquarie. We got a selection of pies and baked goods. All were delicious. Huge selection. Prices are cheap. This is your quintessential old fashioned bakery. There are as many food awards in this bakery as there are food to choose from. Service was great. the eating area is spacious, comfortable and tidy. Definitely make a stop and treat yourself.

Fantastic award-winning bakery located in the heart of Port Macquarie boasting an array of pastries, breads, sandwiches, and coffee, plenty of seating on street and car parks close by, friendly staff and reasonably priced would recommend.

Amazing pies. Highly recommend it. Such a variety. Even vegetarian pies. Chick pea and cauliflower pie is amazing.

It takes skill to bake sourdough bread. I've been practising for 10 years and if you're not baking Daily, it's very difficult to get a consistent light crumb with a textured chewy crust. Burkhardt's French, sourdough loaf and rye rolls are absolutely world-class. They are super light, mild in flavour, and for the price I think I'm going to pop my sourdough starter in the deep-freeze, because there's really no point in me turning out my 6/10 loaf when I can get a 10/10 from these guys with zero effort. Do yourself a favour and Get there early because they do sell out. PS, put your sliced sourdough in the freezer The minute you get home and thaw a couple of slices at a time through the week, and it will always be fresh. Unfortunately, I tend to eat mine before the day out, so if you share my problem, commiserations. Thank goodness, they bake Every day except Sundays.

First time visitor to the Bakery, visually it looked clean and the baked goods looked fantastic, they even had Gluten free cakes and Gluten Free bread baked in house, I couldn't purchase any goods due to appointments on the day but certainly looking forward to tasting the beautiful goods.

Great bakery with a selection of bread and cakes backed fresh daily. The sourdough, vanilla slice and custard tarts are a standout. Every time we went there were people lining up and the product is a testament as to why this is. A must try in Port Macquarie.

Such yummy pastries, quiches and cakes. Nothing is ever a problem for the staff or bakers - very knowledgeable and friendly. If you want a special treat, this is the place to go. - Lisa S Reply

Ambos on a long transfer. Followed the review trail and were duly rewarded. My partner practically inhaled the quiche and then went back to buy a second “best quiche she had ever eaten” and I bought a salami baguette which I told them “was worth moving to Port for”. Coffee was delicious and the staff absolutely divine. So yourselves a favour!!

The coffees were great! We had to go back the next day to grab another coffee and a slice of pecan pie before leaving Port Macquarie. The staffs were friendly. Food, cakes and pastries were SO good. We would visit again.

Had the chilli con carne pie and it was delicious. Great service from a really nice bunch of ladies, and the sandwich was super fresh as well. Trophies line the cabinets and top shelf of every corner in the place. It’s the best! Clear stand out.
