A/Prof Stephan Foy graduated from the University of Otago, New Zealand, in 1984. He completed his Fellowship at the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. A/Prof Stephan Foy is particularly interested in percutaneous coronary interventions, coronary angiography, cardiac catheterisation and permanent pacemaker implantation. His expertise in invasive cardiac techniques led him to establish invasive cardiac services at Launceston General Hospital. He has been a key adviser to the hospital's Cardiac Catheterisation, Interventional Cardiology programmes, and Cardiac Care Unit. A/Prof Stephan Foy is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of Physicians and the Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand. He practices at Heart Centre St John of God, which provides 24-hour medical and nursing care for patients in critical condition and provides rapid treatment of patients with acute coronary syndrome (heart attack and unstable angina), cardiac arrhythmia, or heart failure.
