“St John's Lutheran Church was designed by Karl Langer and built by J Hutchinson in 1960. The church is listed in the heritage register and was added in 2012. The church was established to serve the settlements on the northern banks of the Burnett River. St John's Lutheran Church has a rectangular plan, measuring 41 metres in length and 17 metres in width, facing north. The church's mission is to celebrate, grow, and share the values of faith and humanity. The place has been the focus of worship within the Lutheran community of Bundaberg since the construction of the first church in 1892. St John's Lutheran Church also offers ample parking for the public. They welcome people of all ages, backgrounds, and walks of life to their Sunday worship services and into the life of their community of faith. The church is wheelchair accessible through a double door on the west side. Spacious parking spaces are available at St John's Lutheran Church.”
