OLD DUBBO GAOL REVIEWS

Joined the twilight tour this Monday and it was a big surprise to me and my family. We have gone to several jail before, some with tours. We thought this is going to be yet another ordinary tour. I won’t spoil, so others could enjoy yourself. However it surprisingly entertaining and my kids loved that too. Highly recommended.

This is an extraordinary little piece of history. So much information and you could spend a day here. I cannot believe how fortunate Dubbo has been in gathering its historical information and photographs, even of individuals who were once incarcerated. If ever in Dubbo it is worth a visit.

What a fascinating place to visit. So well done and definitely worth the entry price. Must mention a wonderful tour guide Josh. He was so full of information and an absolute asset to the Gaol. Also worth a mention…..well behaved dogs are welcomed… our little girl enjoyed her wander around.

exceptional homestead with all its history. picturesque surroundings full of well set out information plaques around the walk trails & in & outside of the facilities. easy drive lots with lots of parking on site. highly recommend a visit when in the area.

We were greeted by friendly volunteers and showed some of the buildings history then we went onto to read and learn of the history of the homestead . Wonderfully looked after. We enjoyed our morning then had a great Devonshire tea in their Cafe.

Our family really loved this experience. One of the volunteers (Max) took us around to each of the buildings to tell us about the construction and history of the property. Our kids (5,6,8) asked lots of questions and became really involved in the tour. Lots of fun!

DUBBO COURTHOUSE REVIEWS

It is a great architectural building. By this time, the settlement had only four buildings; the constable's residence, a courthouse and lock-up, a store and an inn. Fabulous architecture. nice place to visit.
