“Dr Alessandro Fois obtained his medical education from Oxford University, and he finished his postgraduate training in Cambridge (Addenbrooke's Hospital) and Sydney (Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, St Vincent's Hospital, and Westmead Hospital). He completed his Movement Disorders Fellowship at Westmead Hospital. He has clinical interests in movement disorders (such as tremors, Parkinson's disease, and dystonia), headache, and using botulinum toxin to treat various general neurological problems. Dr Fois's research is centred on tremors. He has authored numerous book chapters and publications on tremors and movement disorders. Dr Fois is a clinical lecturer at the University of Sydney and also consults patients in his private practice in Sydney. He visits St Stephen's Hospital, Hervey Bay, monthly for clinical consultations and offers telehealth follow-up consultations.
