Whilst visiting our family in Hervey Bay my partner had a medical emergency requiring immediate knee surgery. He is a gentle doctor, noticed my high-stress levels and used humour to diffuse stress. He followed up postoperatively and did a wonderful job. Your worst nightmare to have a loved one admitted to A & E in an emergency situation away from your home.

The nursing staff were amazing during my hospital stay. I felt very unwell after my surgery and every single nurse was compassionate and very professional. The hospital should be very proud of their nursing staff.

Dr Wainwright is so the knowledge and inspired confidence during my consultation. He was friendly and approachable and discussed with me various options. I had carpal tunnel release on my right hand and removal of ganglion from my right wrist. I am two weeks post-op and very happy with my progress so far. I live out of Mackay and he was able to do my follow up a consult via FaceTime so I didn't have to travel. I would recommend him to anyone who needs orthopaedic surgery.

The nursing staff were amazing during my hospital stay. I felt very unwell after my surgery and every single nurse was compassionate and very professional. The hospital should be very proud of their nursing staff.

I had an infection all the staff at the Mater emergency where wonderful they took really good care of me coming and going for 9 days thank you so much.
