John Knight Memorial Park has picnic areas, barbecue facilities, fitness equipment, playgrounds, a disc golf course, and a fixed orienteering course. The park also includes a treehouse, a flying fox, and a play sculpture. The park is linked to the lakeshore promenade and a walking and cycling trail. Weston Park is a popular 40-hectare area with a wading pool in summer only, beach, miniature train and cycle track. Dogs must be leashed as indicated on the dog exercise area map and are not allowed within 10 meters of a public play space, fireplace, or barbecue while in use. Weston Park has a pleasant atmosphere and is popular on weekends and holidays. The park has water on three sides, children's playgrounds, picnic areas, and barbecue facilities.

2025 Update: Weston Park's public boulodrome and multi-purpose gravel platform measures 54 metres by 18 metres with 10 bocce courts and 13 petanque pistes.
