AUSTRALIAN WAR MEMORIAL REVIEWS

The curators have really impressed me with the presentation of all exhibits. I would recommend visiting for a morning session and lunch at poppies and then a late afternoon session (too much to see) tickets booked online for free Not to be missed is the last post, very emotional.

A powerful and wonderful experience. Loved the history and stories behind the Australian War Memorial certainly worthwhile the three hours we spent there. It was a place for quiet reflection of the scarfices made by men and women protecting our country.

Incredable place, we did not allow enough time to see everything! Need at least 3 - 4 hours to see it all! Staff are amazing, couldn't have been any more accommodating, especially Gracie & Robbie during the Last Post Ceremony. Thank you! I will be back!

PARLIAMENT HOUSE REVIEWS

If you are in Canberra, this is a must see. I was visited during the weekdays and some areas were closed and in session. But this time around I visited during the weekend and that is way better. All rooms including the green and red rooms are open to the public which enhances the experience. Only thing is, I was in awe at how relaxed security was at the Parliament House ( in comparison to the US and Europe). I think it speaks of how safe and relaxed Australian culture tends to be. A very lovely educational opportunity for all ages.

Parliament House in Canberra is a must-visit for anyone interested in Australian politics and history. The architecture is impressive, with modern design elements blending seamlessly into the landscape. The free guided tours offer fascinating insights into the workings of the government. The views from the rooftop are spectacular, giving a panoramic perspective of the city. A great educational experience for all ages!

Welcome to this great Australian Parliament House and enjoy the access given to the public and the visitors by the Australian Government. One can spend around couple of hours in here and enjoy the government formation and also study about the Australian History. Don’t forget to enjoy the quick breakfast at the Queens Terrace.

NATIONAL LIBRARY OF AUSTRALIA REVIEWS

What an architectural gem! The finishes, the furnishings, the reading rooms - all as it would have been in the 1960s when the Library opened. The permanent exhibition of documents relating to the discovery and founding of modern Australia were amazing and indeed moving - particularly Captain Cook's journal and the convict diary on display. There's plenty of room to take your time, good internet in the reading rooms, and a nice cafe (with an incredible terrace!).

The National Library offers not just books, but an immersive experience in Australia’s literary and historical heritage. The reading rooms are peaceful and well-equipped, the exhibitions are thoughtfully curated, and the staff are incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. It’s a great place to study, explore rare collections, or just take in the stunning architecture and riverside setting. Highly recommended for locals, tourists, and researchers alike!

It offered a compelling mix of visuals and context, showcasing how our stories have been captured, printed, and preserved over time. The on-site café is another gem—bright, welcoming, and serving delicious food with friendly, attentive staff. It’s the perfect spot to relax before or after exploring the exhibitions. A thoughtful and enriching experience all around—highly recommended for history buffs, photography lovers, and anyone interested in how stories shape a nation.
