In for dinner and drinks with friends. While the dining space inside is a bit noisy, the atmosphere is very welcoming. Attentive staff without being overbearing and were super helpful with a minor error on the food order. Table app system is really efficient even on a busy Fri night.

We stopped in for dinner, I am glad we picked this place. We tried the beef burger and fish and chips both more than met our expectations. It was a cold evening, the bar and dining room were warm, staff were friendly we would definitely return when back in Canberra.

Absolutely excellent. Had the Coq Au Vin and the grilled salmon 10/10. Could not fault a thing. Well priced food, well priced wine list. Brilliant service and location.

It feels like a small time capsule from the prohibition era. Small and cosy, there is a regular jazz band that plays, and an endless choice of whisky, gin and cocktails. It can get a bit pricey but worth it for tasting experiences and to try new drinks or experience something different. The staff are great, the food is delicious and you definitely come here for the drinks. Wheelchair accessibility: Not wheelchair friendly at all. Straight up steep stairs and cramped seating.

Great little bar in a atotally unassuming lane. The atmosphere is kept true to its intended theme and the bar has got an excellent range of cocktails. Some light finger food with a good range of meats/ characterise and cheeses are also available. The whiskeys are also particularly prolific with good range of origins and years for single malts.

Great live music, warm ambience, awesome staff, good snacks and 100s of drinks to choose from. Loved my short visit with friends. Really a place to go if you are in Canberra.

Hopscotch is a pretty standard trendy bar. Massive range of beer, if all you drink is pale ale or xpa, no dark beers (at all, they used to have white rabbit dark ale by the bottle but stopped stocking it). Am I so out of touch that I'm the only person who wants a malty dark beer or a lager occasionally?! That said they make up for it with a good range of whisky. Great range of fancy bar food that is worth buying a few servings of. Beer garden is plain, but pleasant and there are a wide variety of options, from stools to chairs and picnic tables. They do trivia on Mondays if you are into that.

Really cool vibe right on the city end of Lonsdale St which is known for its progressive attitude towards the gastropub concept. With summer just around the corner be prepared to enjoy the scents and tastes of the spit in the front beer garden. Beer and scotch menu is exceptional and well priced for the area. Make sure to book a table on a Friday or Saturday night as it's gets quite busy and hope that the live music is in force.

We had some cold beers in the sun out in the beer garden on our way to dinner. Great venue.
