“Junction Park is a delightful park to visit, located at the confluence of the Murray and Darling rivers. The park is a tidy grassed area in the shade of towering gums. It has public toilets, an off-road car park, BBQ facilities, picnic tables, a children's playground, plenty of shade, and a viewing tower. Junction Park provides an open area to improve visitors' physical health. A houseboat is moored upriver, and a couple strolls through the park. This park offers a secure and enjoyable hiking, picnicking, and sporting space. There's a lookout tower, which kids will love climbing. Beyond the tower and playground is a track that leads to a lookout toward the weir. Along the path are numerous photo opportunities with tall grasses and enormous river-red gums lining each side of the track. Junction Park provides free entry for all visitors.

2025 Update: Junction Park is perfect for picnics and outdoor activities, offering hiking trails, barbecue grills, picnic tables, slides, and swings. That's family-friendly with kid-friendly hikes and a playground, and dogs are welcome too.”

JUNCTION PARK REVIEWS

A vey pleasant park to visit with lots to see. Well kept and some great stories about Wentworth. The views of the river, Loch and the countryside were so peaceful and serene. We were fortunate to have a family member who explained the whole area to us. A hidden gem.

Where the mighty Murray and Darling Rivera join. Can see the water level on the trees are the floods. The viewing platform does have the best view of the rivers, wished there were a better location. Worth the stop over.

Lovely park with a lookout to see out over where the Mighty Murray and the Darling rivers meet! BBQ areas and a playground for the kids! Seems well looked after by the local council!

O'DONNELL PARK REVIEWS

This is a large park area with a small playground at one end and sporting fields at the other. It is located on one of the main roads going through Merbein. It is a nice quiet location to bring children and is close to the Merbein lookout.

After crossing through an iron bridge we came across this park next to the Murray River, ideal for relaxing and having a good time.

Well presented and tasty food. Pleasant owners and a magical location beside the mighty Murray at Curlwaa.

FOTHERBY PARK REVIEWS

An amazing park with a small outdoor museum containing a lot of old farming machinery, some parts from local bridges and tractors. The Paddle steamer Ruby is pretty close, and there's a few monuments and plaques within the park too. Plenty of shaded area and a small play area for children too. Worth a visit if in the area!

Great little park area with the paddle steamer being renovated, a historic area with an old house and machinery as well as a tribute to a well known identity from the area. Also toilets and picnic area.

Nice park with clean toilets. Kids enjoyed to play while parents have a break.
