MUSEUM OF GERALDTON REVIEWS
Small but very informative. Well put together. Enjoyed every minute. Maybe people with small kids must just watch their little ones not interfering where people are watching videos. So much to learn here. Would advise every visitor to Geraldton to make a turn here.
Great museum, the Sydney-Kormoran exhibit is worth the visit but the Batavia info is also fantastic, friendly staff, nice location, free but $5 donation suggested and given.
WOW - impressive and all free but donations accepted. The 3D film of HMAS Sydney is sensational, and we learnt heaps about Sydney & Batavia discoveries. Not to forget the 16 leg spider exhibit!

For a town like geraldton, this is a bright spot that should be protected. The best thing about this art gallery is that it never stagnates, meaning if you come back every two months you'll have a new experience. Great place. Lovely gallery, lovely staff, great experience. Be there or be square.

MONSIGNOR HAWES HERITAGE CENTRE REVIEWS
Facing off against the cathedral’s imposing portal is a modern interpretive centre about the unusual life of John Hawes. Born in England and qualified as an architect in the 1890s, he arrived in Geraldton after being ordained in 1915, and would remain for the next 25 years. During this time he had a huge impact on Geraldton, designing 44 buildings for the city, 29 of which were built. What you’ll get is a rich and intimate portrayal of the man, complemented by his architectural plans, diary entries, vestments and personal documents.
This centre describes the fascinating life of John Cyril Haws, the architect of the Francis Xavier Cathedral next door. These two places are a must-see in Geraldton. The heritage center has a great design, video presentation and some of Hawes' original works.
Very well laid out and full of interesting history from around the regions.. would recommend to those interested in local religious history.
