Fantastic displays in this museum ranging from hands on interactive scientific exhibits which really got the kids involved, to dinosaur fossils found in the region, and of course, the incredible display of original Cobb&Co memorabilia including horse drawn coaches and buggies and various pieces of other equipment. All beautifully restored to their original condition. We really enjoyed the whole experience including food we had in the restaurant found just inside the entrance of the museum.

This is a great place to take the children. We are Toowoomba, local and I’ve been to the museum about five times there’s always new fun and inviting things. Always lots of events happening in a great little cafe. I love that it’s free for Toowoomba locals.

I recently visited the Japanese Garden in Toowoomba, QLD, and found the scenery to be absolutely beautiful. The garden is designed with authentic Japanese architecture, creating a serene and picturesque atmosphere that feels like a slice of Japan. It’s a perfect spot for a peaceful walk and to enjoy nature’s beauty. However, one downside to the experience was the noticeable smell of duck and bird droppings throughout the garden. While the setting is gorgeous, the odors were a bit distracting and took away from the overall experience. Despite this, the garden’s beauty is undeniable, and it’s still worth a visit if you’re in the area.

Such a beautiful display in a relatively small space that makes you feel like you could get lost in there with all of the different spaces they have created. We visited at the right time all of the colour of leaves at the ready to drop. I really like how well it integrates some Australian natives around the sides into the garden. Much worth the 300km drive.

The serene gardens allow you to sit and relax and forget about everything for a while. The new pavilion that overlooks the water is a wonderful addition to the garden.

I enjoyed this far more than I thought I would. Extremely interesting part of the history of that area. Our guide was lovely, as were everyone that were there helping. An awesome community effort that they are proud of. The best part for me was the Dreamtime Journey Coach. Take your time and let this gorgeous art envelope you. The story behind it is inspirational!.

Amazing experience. Friendly staff are happy to answer any questions and take you around the museum. The Indigenous Art carriage is wonderful, but it's a shame we can't take any photos of the inside. Gift shop was actually bigger than I expected. Highly recommend going if you want to know more about the history of the region and its railways.

We had such a fabulous time on the steam train trip to Brookstead with DownsSteam railway. The trip went like clockwork and the camp oven meal prepared by the Brookstead Hall Committee was delicious. Highly recommend taking a trip with DownsSteam!
