He earned his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) from the University of Otago. Dr Sapre also completed a PhD at the University of Melbourne, where he played a key role in developing more accurate and less invasive tests for better diagnosis and treatment of prostate and bladder cancers. He is a member of several professional organisations, including the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, the Urological Society of Australia and New Zealand, the European Association of Urology, the American Urological Association, and the British Association of Urological Surgeons. Dr Sapre is actively involved in training and supervising the next generation of urological surgeons. He is dedicated to understanding the issues affecting his patients and making accurate diagnoses.

I/we cannot speak highly enough of Dr Devang Desai! I trust this man with my life and would again any day! He is really an exceptional doctor and surgeon who will not muck around with anything cancer. He is very professional, caring, approachable and imparts knowledge that lay people can understand! He was/is wonderful to me and went out of his way to accommodate me personally, with my operation/theatre done closer to family in Brisbane. I/ We cannot thank him enough for this life saving surgery and giving me more time to enjoy life! Sincere Thanks Devang!

Dr Desai was fantastic after some issues following an unsuccessful vasectomy with another doctor. He was extremely thorough and uncovered other health issues not related to his specialty that weren’t addressed by other professionals from scans taken many years earlier. Dr Desai has a lovely bedside manner, from the initial consultation through to post-op, it made the whole process a lot less stressful.

Dr Desai has recently removed my kidney because of cancer. What a marvelous doctor. He saved my life. When he is explaining things to you he makes sure you understand what he is saying which is great. He has excellent staff working with him. I highly recommend this surgeon. Thank you Dr. Desai.
