I was seeing her for nearly 2 years for adhd and anxiety. Unfortunately I stopped going and couldn't afford any longer. She is very empathetic and caring. Kept insisting I take on cbt therapy but I never did :/ I think I now understand why I needed the cbt therapy since being unemployed and doing a lot of reading since July last year. Now I am stuck at home still with no job and limited access to the outside world with confidence getting lower and chest starting to hurt Hope I find a way to come back to therapy again.

Dr Joanne Barkla is an outstanding practitioner. Dr Barkla listens with intent and actually hears what is being said. Dr Joanne has a terrific ability to balance holistic and traditional means of pharmacological assistance. She has the knowledge to know most pharmaceuticals and their interactions with each other. Trust me and take your wife or partner with you when you visit - please. She has great knowledge of PTSD. I have visited her for the past 15 years and she helps veterans.

Dr Barkla is professional and understanding of my individual circumstances. It took a while to find her when my previous psychiatrist went out of practice but I'm glad I did.
