3 Best Australian Restaurants in Newcastle NSW

Well we finally made it to this restaurant after I was not able to make it there in December 2022 due to serious health complications. I must must say we loved the service and the food was outstanding. To all of the staff a job well done tables service was the best I’ve had for a while keep up the good work. To the chef absolutely delicious flavours were right up there and well presented food. I would definitely recommend this place for an exceptional meal.

A great spot with a fantastic view over the lake. A great drinks menu and the food is top notch. Have had the seafood platter for two before and recommend that, this time I had the surf n turf and my wife had the chicken, can’t go wrong with either.

I have been coming here for years for date night and also Had group bookings with large people. The food is always amazing and the service is super friendly and accommodating.

We recently dined at Flottila], and it was a fantastic experience. We were fortunate enough to have the best seat on the house at the kitchen counter, which offered a front-row view of the culinary action. Watching the chefs work their magic was mesmerizing, and it added a special touch to our meal. The food was exceptional—each dish was crafted with precision and bursting with flavor. The service was attentive and friendly, making us feel right at home. Overall, it was an unforgettable dining experience, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for top-notch cuisine and a unique atmosphere.

Every single dish, one after the other, had layers of flavours and was exquisite. Most restaurants are good, but you're always disappointed by something. Not at The Flotilla. Service and atmosphere was attentive yet not overbearing. We had a chef's table seat and we could see that everyone had a great relationship as there was a ongoing friendly banter.

Flotilla is easily the best dining experience in Newcastle. I’ve had the pleasure of eating here a number of times and the food is always consistently delicious and creative. Great service, Eduardo is the best front of house you can get in my opinion.

What a delightful surprise! Came for dinner Sat night. Very impressed with the friendly, attentive service from Ram, a wonderful host. Food was excellent, with thoughtful flavour and texture combinations that elevated the dishes from standard to standout, at exceptional value. Chilled atmosphere and Relaxed vibe.

Overtime can be found in Hamilton's iconic Beaumont St and was a perfect stop for a hearty breakfast and coffee hit before we explored all Newcastle had to offer. The service was friendly and efficient and the food outstanding. Great value for money with a great range of vegetarian options.

I highly recommend this restaurant. The food and service quality was truly exceptional, I can't wait to come back. They had a cute HBD written on my dessert once they knew it was my birthday. Excellent environment and friendly service. Food was delicious.
