3 Best Bagel Shops in Newcastle NSW

I’ve been all over the world travelling and living in different countries, inc New York, and I can safely say these are the best bagels I’ve had, the choices are plenty, the quality is top notch, this is a cute little shop that has a really warm vibe inc the friendly staff. Every time I’m in Newcastle I look forward to heading here for a bite, I’ve brought all my family and friends that have visited from the UK and other parts of Australia and they’re all of the same opinion that Papa’s Bagel Bar in Newy is 10/10 Now I’m drooling and wanting to go again.

Shaved chocolate on top of cappuccino was a special surprise and blueberry bagel amazing. Caramelised onion bagel with chive cream cheese very nice. Also their take home bagel packs were perfect for those still asleep back at our hotel.

Not usually a big fan of bagels but these were some of the best I have ever had. Really tasty and worth spending a little extra compared to other places. Their beverages were quite good also.

Rainy Saturday morning… I spilled some water on the table and the lovely tablelady came and cleaned it up for us. She warmed our soggy hearts with her warm smile and awesome coffee! Toast was phenomenal. 5 stars.

Fantastic and vibrant coffee, food, and wine spot. Toasties are yum. Staff friendly and helpful. Sit inside or out. Happy hour 4-6pm.

A nice little cafe in Newcastle. The eggs Benedict was spot on and the avocado toast was good as well, although the yoghurt dip was a bit salty for my liking. Service was good and ambiance was nice. Recommend!

Friendly, cozy and welcoming atmosphere. We enjoyed great coffee and an amazing big breakfast. Our dog was very fussed over and had a lovely visit. Great location to start a day of exploring this beautiful precinct.
