3 Best Australian Restaurants in Port Macquarie NSW

We stopped at the Stunned Mullet for lunch on our way from Sydney to Byron Bay. The food was delicious, impeccably prepared and delivered quickly from the kitchen. The quality and presentation was equal or exceeding many fine dining restaurants I’ve experienced lately. I ordered the scallops as a starter which were beautifully prepared and blackened kingfish with truly amazing flavors. I don’t usually have dessert but wanted to try another dish and was totally impressed with the sponge cake. I’m a foodie and travel extensively around the world and this is a dining experience I’ll remember. The ambience was modern, clean and appealing. And the service was exceptional with Nicholai explaining the ingredients and flavors in wonderful detail. I’d go out of my way to dine here anytime I’m nearby.

OMG I am fussy with my food and my service but do yourself a favour and go here. They went out of their way to get me in and thank god they did. The food was amazing if you like fine dining. The service was excellent. After reading the reviews I was hesitant but I am so glad I went. One very satisfied fussy customer.

Fabulous restaurant with amazing food. Started with an entree special which was Balmain Bug. Main was the glacier 51 toothfish. I have never had this before and was well worth trying it. This is their signature dish. Dessert was a beautiful salty crème caramel. We chose a Hunter Valley wine (Brokenwood Rose) as it is an Australian wine and from the region I live. Highly recommend this restaurant if you are looking for delicious food and exceptional service.

On the recent long weekend my family came together from the Gold Coast & Sydney for a very special occasion. We had 13 of us for breakfast, including 6 little kids, & even though it was a bit hectic for them, the service here was impeccable & nothing was too much trouble. The food was great & was brought out very quickly. Everyone was so warm & professional, & we will most certainly be back!

Very well balanced flavours with quality produce. Had the AMT and sampled my wife's eggs benedict with smoked salmon. No seasoning required for the dishes at the table as everything was delicious Good portion size and reasonable price. Coffee was well made and staff friendly. Wish it was my local cafe and/or I had more time to try some of the other breakfast options!

Awesome pancakes. Even more awesome breakfast wrap, the spicy baked beans made it!! Will definitely drop in again when passing through.

My husband and I are visiting Port Macquarie and on our stroll this morning we came across this Gem. Eggs Benny for Breakfast and Coffe, the coffee was perfect and the breakfast was huge, beautifully presented and tasted even better than it looked! We are returning to try the dinner menu next, if you havnt been here I strongly recommend a visit, you Won’t Be Disappointed!

Do yourself a favour and pop up to this Cafe. Just such a relaxing view overlooking the river and the food was great!! We have been quite few times now and it won't be our last. Thank you!!!

Amazing food, fantastic service, the serves were a great size for the price! I managed to get a pic of the duck salad before it was devoured which was amazing. We will definitely be back.
